Recap:

A Digital Gateway to a Growing Community

The Downtown Daybreak website isn’t just a digital presence—it’s the front door to a vibrant, evolving destination. Spearheaded by the Larry H. Miller Real Estate team, this project required Overlap to design a high-performance, visually compelling website that could adapt alongside a brand still defining itself. The result? A dynamic, scalable digital experience that invites users to explore the future of Downtown Daybreak.

The Challenge:

Navigating an Evolving Brand Identity

A new brand. A complex ecosystem of businesses, events, and venues. A project that was discovering itself as we built it.

Downtown Daybreak is a master-planned community that blends residential, retail, and entertainment spaces, including the Power District—home to Bees Stadium, America First Square, and the Downtown Daybreak Stage. However, with the brand identity still forming and key details about tenants and events in flux, Overlap had to craft a compelling, functional website that could stand strong from day one while remaining flexible for the future. The process was as much about learning what Downtown Daybreak would become as it was about building the digital infrastructure to support it.

The Solution:

Blending Innovation with Flexibility

Bold design. Smart architecture. Seamless integration.
Overlap took an innovative approach, balancing custom development with scalable solutions. Key features included:

High-Impact UX & Visual Design:

A sleek interface featuring engaging scroll-based animations and a mobile-first approach to enhance accessibility.

Smart Content Structuring:

Information architecture that organizes shopping, dining, and event details—even when those details weren’t finalized.

Technical Precision:

Built using Next.js and WordPress as a headless CMS, leveraging PHP and JavaScript to ensure speed and scalability.

Multi-Source Event Integration:

Pulling data from multiple venues (including Ticketmaster and WordPress) to create a unified events experience.

The Results:

Laying the Foundation for Future Growth

While Downtown Daybreak is still in its infancy, the website sets a strong digital foundation. With an intuitive structure and an engaging user experience, it is primed for future updates as the community grows. Initial feedback from stakeholders has been overwhelmingly positive, with plans to expand the website’s functionality as more businesses and events go live.
