The Salt Lake Bees were transitioning to a new ballpark in the downtown Daybreak district, requiring a fresh digital presence to match the stadium’s look and feel. The client needed a modern, fully integrated website to handle event data and ticket sales while overcoming challenges like syncing multiple data sources and working with limited imagery due to the stadium’s ongoing construction.

The Solution:

API-First Development and Seamless Event Integration

Overlap’s API-first approach enabled smooth data integration between Ticketmaster and WordPress. The development team created a custom JSON file that updated twice daily, ensuring event information remained current. The use of this efficient data management system significantly improved site performance, ensuring quick load times and an optimized user experience.

Ticketmaster Integration:

We used the Ticketmaster API to pull event data and integrate it with the WordPress content management system.

Data Management Optimization:

Design and Imagery:

Renderings and MLB imagery were used to fill in the gaps where stadium photos were unavailable, providing a polished look despite the ongoing construction.
